INEC begins distribution of PVCs
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Borno state says the Permanent Voters Card (PVC) for registrants in 2017 is ready for collection.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Mohammed Ibrahim Magaji stated this to reporters on Monday in Maiduguri during a press briefing.
According to the commissioner, INEC was able to register eligible electorates in most volatile areas of the state with the assistance of other relevant stakeholders
Moh'd Ibrahim said the commission registered over two hundred thousand eligible voters in the state in the year 2017 but not all of the PVCs are readily available now
On the same vain, the INEC boss disclosed that a breakdown of the available PVCs shows that those in crisis-prone areas of the state can still get their cards but with the hope the security situation is improved in those local government areas
