Police parade over Fifty Suspect
Over fifty suspects arrested for various crime across the state have being paraded by the Edo state police command.
The commissioner of police, Haliru Gwandu, while parading the suspects before newsmen at the command headquarters in Benin, says most of the suspects arrested were the ones terrorizing the state in the last 8 months.
The police commissioner says the command has intensified strategies in combating robbery incidences, kidnapping and other related crime which he noted has paid off.
He thanked the people of Edo state for availing the command useful information to nip crime in the bud.
Commissioner Gwandu explained that out of the numbers of suspected persons, 44 have been charged to court while 16 kidnapped Victims were rescued. Some of the suspects bare their minds on their level of involvement.
The police commissioner stated that criminals may have to look elsewhere as the state is no longer a safe for them.
