Benue gov appoints new commissioners
Newly sworn-in commissioners in Benue State have been tasked not to disappoint the people of the state in the discharge of their activities but be prepared to help move the state forward.
Governor Samuel Ortom made this known during the swearing-in ceremony of 15 commissioners from across the three senatorial zones of the state which took place in government house MAKURDI, urging them to desist from financial impropriety that could undermine and tarnish the image of the state government.
The governor who explained that their selections were based purely on merit, he urged them to take charge of their various ministries, peruse the policy document as well as the report of transition committee in other to implement the programme of the state government for the overall good of the state.
Congratulating them for the new appointment and the announcement of the various ministries, the governor warns permanent secretary of the ministries to desist from assisting political appointees to steal public funds.
One of the new commissioners, on behalf of others thanked the Governor and promised not to disappoint him and the people of the state.
