Amnesty trainees boycott graduation
25 trainees, due for graduation in Rubber Technology at Ogbebor Leadership and Skill Aquisition Academy under the Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP, skipped examination and graduation ceremony over non-payment of their allowances.
The aggrieved trainees from Bayelsa and Delta states boycotted the examination/graduation ceremony at the premises of Paulosa Rubber Factory in Ologbo, Ikpoba-Okha local government area of Edo state, the venue of the ceremony.
The amnesty trainees, who insisted that their allowances must be paid before the commencement of any examinations, stormed the premises ahead of the celebration.
The President/Chairman, Board of Director of Paulosa Nigeria limited; Col. Paul Ogbebor (rtd) expressed dismay at the conduct of the trainees.
Similarly, the representative of the office of the Amnesty, who did not speak to newsmen expressed dissatisfaction over the manners the trainees have conducted themselves
Effort to speak to some of the trainees proved abortive as some of them vehemently rebuffed newsmen.
