Governor Oshiomole Inaugurate Twenty Permanent Secretary In Edo
Governor Adams Oshiomole of Edo State has inaugurated twenty permanent secretary who were recently promoted two days and subsequently dropped two of them for indiscipline.
Governor Oshiomole inaugurating the newly elevated permanent secretary at Government House Benin, he admonished the newly promoted not to relent in their hard work but remain dedicated to duty.
While commending them for their new offices, the governor stressed that to have a vibrant civil service, those steering the helms of leadership must be men who have traversed the crucibles of learning, well equipped and informed to steer position of authority.
Governor oshiomole tried to disabuse the minds of the people especially Nigerians from all works of life who often times believed that one cannot attain high positions in life except through influence. He further said people must define how far they want to go by how they approach their work.
Governor Oshiomole, however said that workers who confront their employers must be that which is done positively to help the system grow and develop, just as he use the occasion to punish two newly promoted permanent secretary by demoting them to the position of director for coming late to the ceremony.
Meanwhile Ofure Eboreime, one of the newly promoted permanent secretary who spoke on behalf of others thanked the Governor and promise that they all will put in teir best and not disappoint.
The festival hall where the ceremony took place was full to capacity as family members, friends and well wishers gathered to express their happiness.
