Kano to offset Super Eagles bill as team storms state
Nigeria’s Home Based Super Eagles on Monday stormed Kano to commence preparations for their away first round campaign against their Benenoise counterpart for a place in CHAN 2018.
In the same vein, the chairman, Kano state Sports Commission, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima has confirmed that the state government opted to shoulder all the bills to be incurred during the two weeks camping exercise in the state. According to him, the gesture is aimed at encouraging sports development, noting that the sports loving governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has reinstated the desire of his administration to continue to support the hosting of national events in the state.
Galadima decline to comment on the amount that would be expended in hosting the team in the state, he rather disclosed that, the team will travel from Kano to Benin republic for the first leg and would return to Kano for the return leg against Benin republic in August 18th.
Meanwhile, 15 out of the 25 players invited have arrived their Tahir Guest palace camp site in high spirit.other invited players could not hit the camp, because they have to honour weekend fixtures of the Nigeria Professional Football League matches.
