The Confederation of African Football (CAF)have given a January 31 deadline for countries interested in hosting this year’s U17 AFCON to submit their bids.CAF have withdrawn the hosting rights for the U17 AFCON from the island-country of Madagascar.There was no explanation for this decision.

A CAF official informed: “The deadline for submission of bids for the hosting of the U17 AFCON is January 31 after which the CAF executive committee will meet and decide on the host country.”Madagascar were to have staged the tournament in April with the top four teams advancing to the U17 World Cup in India.Niger hosted the 2015 edition of the competition.
