Reps make move to suspend Agbonayima
A Member of the House of Representatives from Edo State Johnson Agbonayima is to face house committee on ethics and privileges for uncomplimentary remarks against the House of Representatives.
This followed a point of order moved by House during plenary in Abuja.
Inombek alleged that Agbonayima during an interview he granted to an electronic media, accused the House of not following due process in passing the electoral act.
Contributing, Dan Asoquo, said his privileges as a member of the house were infringed upon and abused by the uncomplimentary comments by Johnson Agbonayinma.
Zakaria Mohammed admonished members to be always guided whenever expressing their personal views in the public concerning the institution, adding that an individual cannot be bigger than the National Assembly he represents.
In his remarks, Speaker Yakubu Dogara said Agbonayima might have made the alleged comments ignorantly.
The Speaker, however, said the committee will do the needful before the ouse takes action.
