Victim of robbery attack recounts ordeal
A commercial motorcycle operator Felix Abasa who was attacked by criminals who intended to snatch his motorcycle at Ughelli community in Delta state by cutting off his head has narrated how he escaped from the scene leaving him with machete cuts on his face and hand.
The victim who was attacked around 8 pm when he was flagged down by people he thought were policemen, is presently undergoing treatment in an undisclosed hospital in Warri.
Speaking with Galaxy news at the hospital where he is receiving treatment, the commercial motorcyclist said he was almost beheaded by the robbers.
He narrated how he escaped to safety and was helped by another motorcyclist whom he met after running out of the bush.
Cases of robbery attacks on commercial motorcycle riders have been on the increase in Ughelli south and North local government, with the recent being last month beheading of a father of four.
