Ogun Community gets Relief Materials Following Rain Storm Disaster
Victims of a rainstorm in ibefun community in Ogun State have heave sigh of relief.
On the order of Governor Dapo Abiodun; the state Emergency Management Agency is intervening with the distribution of relief materials to all affected individuals.
The November 27th, 2019 rainstorm in the sleepy town of ibefun, in Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State, leftover a hundred houses destroyed.
It came with a heavy whirlwind; leaving several of residents displaced, and farm products destroyed; the disaster left affected individuals pained, and laden financially.
The government of Ogun State is providing immediate help, to cushion the effects on various individuals. Mattresses Roofing sheets, Cement as well as foodstuffs amongst other domestic items were distributed.
The government wants residents, across the state, to be mindful of their environment.
According to Commissioner for Environment, the effects of natural disasters can be minimized if everyone refuses to compromise environmental and safety standards at all seasons.
The Commissioner maintains that clean up exercise will commence soon; affording the ministry to clear waterways, and drainages across the state, ahead of this year's wet season.
