NUT Appeals to Transferred Teachers to Remain Calm
The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Teachers in Oyo state has appealed to about two thousand teachers transferred to secondary schools but whose status is yet been ratified to remain calm.
Recall that the teachers were transferred from primary schools in the state to secondary school about three years ago under the administration of Late Abiola Ajimobi.
Speaking with the Correspondent on the agitations of the concerned teachers, the chairman of NUT in Oyo State, Comrade Tojuade Adedoyin decried the plight of the affected teachers pleading with them to exercise more patience.
He disclosed that the leadership of the union is in constant dialogue with the ministry of education, science and technology in the state on their matter adding that the government has assured that the needful will be done on the issue.
Adedoyin urged the teachers to continue to discharge their responsibilities as expected adding that the matter will soon be resolved amicably.
