The Government of Oyo State has ordered all former political office holders in the state to immediately return government vehicles and other assets in their custody.

The State government in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Seyi Makinde, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, said that the former officials urged those concerned to do so within 48 hours.

The statement added the government will not tolerate a situation where former political office holders are still in possession of official vehicles attached to their offices despite the fact that they are no longer in the service of Oyo State.

The government added that anyone who fails to comply with the directive should be ready to face security agencies stressing that all necessary steps would be geared towards the retrieval of all assets.
