Kwara n-power agric commission hectares of farm land
About five hundred thousand youths across the country are currently benefitting from the n-power social investment program of the federal government aimed to reduce unemployment among the youths.
The n-power programme was introduced in twenty sixteen by the President Buhari administration as a job enhancement scheme aimed at imbibing the learn-work-entrepreneurship culture in Nigerian youths, both graduates and none graduates.
The special assistant to the vice president on youths and job creation, Muhammad Brimah stated this at the inauguration of the forty hectares of farmlands by over fifteen thousand beneficiaries in Kwara state.
Brimah noted that stakeholders should give maximum support to the n-power beneficiaries in order to expand food production for sustainable development.
Similarly, the Kwara state government on its part says it is passionate to leave no stone unturned to meaningfully engage the youths and the active poor in different productive ventures to ameliorate the dual problems of hunger and poverty.
The Governor was represented by the permanent secretary ministry of agriculture, Muhammed Katsina, he said it is evident in the recently sent anti-poverty bill to institutionalize various programmes that would drive economic growth and ensure equitable distribution of resources in the state.
