Groups Rally Support for Amotekun
Various groups under the aegis of Yoruba world Congress on Tuesday came out for a solidarity rally in support of the Southwest security outfit codenamed Amotekun in Ado Ekiti.
This follows a statement released from the office of the attorney general of the federation, Abubakar Malami declaring the regional outfit illegal.
The groups include Yoruba Koya leadership and training foundation, Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Oodua people's Congress, Local hunters, and others.
They declared support for the southwest governors saying the initiative is an attempt to put an end to all forms of crime in the region.
They also said the arrangement is not to victimize anyone or region but an opportunity to create a prosperous southwest for the benefit of all Nigerians.
The solidarity rally commenced at the Fajuyi Park in Ado Ekiti and terminated at Oyingbo roundabout.
