There's an  explosion around Dejo Oyelese Street Bodija Ibadan around 7:44pm on Tuesday 17/01/2024.

  The cause of the explosion is unknown, and no casualty could be confirmed as the search continues.

  Some residents are saying gas explosion in Bodija, while others are saying it's a transformer, other residents believed to be bomb.

   No clear indication to what could have caused that kind of massive explosion in Ibadan. But one thing is clear the blast radius was massive enough to be heard in a several area. Hopefully, we get the right information soon.

   However, it was confirmed that majority people lost their lives, properties and buildings were destroyed, some are in the hospital receiving treatment, while others who were badly injured are yet to receive treatments.

   The Commissioner of Police Oyo State Command in the company of some senior officers and other responders, is on the ground for on the spot assessment and rescue operation.

  The Oyo State Police Command has also deployed armed and plain clothe officers to forestall any breakdown of law and order.
