The Delta State Independent Electoral Commission DSIEC. Wednesday debunked the alleged notice of election timetable and schedule of activities for the 2024 local government council election in the state.

Chairman of the commission Dr. Jerry Agbaike in a statement made available to our correspondent, said the purported document was a fake public notice and did not emanate from the commission.
He said the commission was.yet to fix a date for the election and would communicate to the general public once a date is fixed.

According to him, the authentic date for the conduct of the 2024 local government elections shall be officially announced soon.
He cautioned some section of the online media against peddling fake news, saying Deltans should discountenanced the report in all ramifications.
