Thomas Dennerby has labelled the news linking him with the Indian U17 national team as 'fake news'. The 60-year-old Swede insisted he has not been approached by any country whatsoever with an offer to become their next coach.

Dennerby, who led the Nigeria's women national team to the second round of the 2019 FIFA World Cup tournament in France, says he is still contracted to the team.

 However, he added that he would prefer sorting out his future with the Nigerian team, before considering his next line of action.

The Swedish born tactician took charge of the country's women national team in 2018 and the same year, he won the Africa Women Cup of Nations title with them. Before taking the Super Falcons job, Dennerby led his countrywomen national team to finish third at the 2011 Women's World Cup during his seven-year stint in charge.
