Hundreds of commercial bus drivers in Imo state have taken to the street in protest against illegal tax collectors.
The drivers who stormed the metropolitan city of Owerri the state capital said they can no longer bear the pains inflicted on them by the multiple taxation system.
Bearing their minds on the ugly development, Izunna Ogbonna and Stephen Enwerem said the activities of the men are becoming unbearable.
They said if the situation is not checked immediately, it is capable of wreaking havoc in the state.
The special assistant to governor Emeka Ihedioha on security, Henry Ibejiuba regretted that the situation has gone that bad.
He exonerated the governor but however assured the protesters that drastic measures will be taken to arrest the situation.
