The chief of army staff Lt Gen Tukur Buratai has reiterated his commitments towards the improvements of personnel of the Nigerian army especially as it relates to sports and physical activities for combat purpose.

He said this Tuesday while declaring open the directorate of army physical training conference, holding at Nigerian military school Zaria. 

The chief of army staff who was ably represented by the commandant infantry corps major general Stephen Olabanji says training is a major part of the Nigerian army, therefore, cannot be overemphasized.

He, therefore, pledged his commitments and support towards the welfare and betterment of personnel of the Nigerian army to enable them discharge their constitutional roles effectively.

In his welcome address, the Director army training command corps Maj Gen William Ali appreciated the efforts of the chief of army staff which has led to various international recognition and even elected positions for its personnel.
