Benue Gov visit mass grave site, condemns act
Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state has visited Gbatse community in Ushongo local government area of the state where 16 bodies were buried by suspected ritualism after abducting them.
Governor Ortom who led the state police commissioner Garba Mukkadas, top other security agents and retinue of State officials to the site, condemned the acts, saying such act is from the pit of hell.
While eleven bodies have so far been exhumed, identified and taken away by their families, the Governor also visited some of affected families to commiserate with them promised that justice will be fully served on those suspects.
The state police commissioner Garba Mukkadas, Paraded the 6 suspects behind the dastardly act committed in Gbatse in Ushongo LGA alongside other suspected kidnapper, cultists and armed robbers, said they will be charged to court and go after the five others now at large.
Meanwhile, the ring leader of the 11 man gang, Iorwuese Ikpila, arrested by Operation Zenda, confessed to his crime, stating that as a native doctor he wanted to make money.
