After being found guilty for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams in August 2011, dancehall artist Vybz Kartel has been sentenced to life in prison, and must serve 35 years before he’s eligible for parole, the Jamaica-Gleaner reports.

Kartel received the guilty verdict while on trial in March 2014, but was sentenced yesterday (April 3), along with the other three co-accusers: Shawn “Shawn Storm” Campbell and Kahira Jones, who both received life in prison with 25 years before parole eligibility, and Andre St. John who was sentenced to life with 30 years before parole eligibility as well.
