An Islamic scholar, Professor Afis Oladosu has identified greed, discontentment, and self-centeredness as the bane of achieving a united Nigeria.
Prof. Oladosu stated this as a guest speaker at the 7th Annual Ramadan Lecture held at Oyo Government House Arcade, Agodi, Ibadan, on Wednesday.

Oladosu charged Governor Makinde to continue to make equity and fairness his watchword for good governance in the state.
He, therefore, stressed the need for Nigerians to be accommodating, willing to assist others, promote justice, fairness and good behaviour.
On his part, Governor Makinde urged residents to continue to live together in peace and unity adding that all hands must be on the deck towards ensuring safety of lives and property in the country.
He said, “We all know the situation of things in our country today, especially as regard security. We must learn to tolerate ourselves and forget the idea that one particular ethnic group should go back to their base. All we need now is cooperation, peace and unity for us to restore Nigeria back to its right of place.”
Oyo State Deputy Governor, Rauf Olaniyan tasked Islamic clerics to assist the state to tackle its various challenges through constant prayers and offerings of thanksgiving.
