Self Determination: NINAS Gives 120 Days Ultimatum to Govt, Begins Consultation
The Nigerian Indigenous Nationalities Alliance for Self Determination has commenced consultation with people of Alliance Territories over a move for self-reliance.
Leaders and members of the group with other socio-cultural organizations had in the morning held a rally at Mapo in Ibadan on the need for the creation of Yoruba nation.
Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that the leader of the Indigenous Alliance, Prof. Banji Akintoye who was represented at a Press Conference held in Ibadan by Chairman Steering Committee of the Alliance, Otunba Sade Olukoya said Nigeria is technically sick.
He maintained that having explored all options available to ensure the abrogation of the 1999 Constitution and with no success, the Nigerian Indigenous Nationalities Alliance for self Determination has commenced consultation with various segments of the Nigerian society on the next line of action.
Prof. Akintoye declared NINAS as a self-determination movement with the task to lead the dismantling of what it called a fraudulent 1999 constitution to end the unworkable unitary it foist and to champion the process of self-determination.
He restated the commitment of the alliance to midwife the emergence of cohesive regional charters and constitutions that will form the basis of UN-SC mandated self-determination referendums.
