Unknown gunmen have killed personnel of the Oyo State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun, Suleiman Quadri.

According to reports, Quadri was ambushed by bandits numbering about 11 while escorting staff of a farm to the farmland in Fiditi on Tuesday.

It was gathered that the gunmen opened fire on the security operative and his colleague, Amoo Yisau. While Yisau survived the attack with gunshot injuries, Quadri was unlucky as he gave up the ghost.

Yisau is currently receiving treatment at the General Hospital, Owode, Oyo.

The commandant of Amotekun Corps in Oyo State, Col. Olayinka Olayanju (rtd), confirmed the incident.

Quadri, 25, has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
